Well, I am SO thankful it’s Friday for many reasons, but before I share them with you, let me set the stage a little bit. A few of us have been “out of town” for the later part of this week doing some research and planning for our CM. I won’t reveal a lot of the details right now, but let’s just say when its time…WOW you are going to FREAK OUT! 
Now, if you know me, you know I love trips like this! I am a man who loves to plan, brainstorm, pray for God’s vision and work to bring that vision to life! It’s just how (by God’s Grace) He made me! I love the imagination and being able to use it in a way that glorifies Him and reaches His children and let’s just say…well, nothing for now (just be patient, I’ll fill you in soon enough)!
So, back to the whole T.G.I.F. and why I am thankful it’s Friday. Well, we are heading home (probably are already there as you are reading this) and that means a few things for me:
- I get to see my wife!!!!!!!!!
Where I love to travel I also love (more) seeing and being with my wife! I may have only been away from her for a few days but I miss her like crazy and I can’t wait to get home to see her! I’m coming home to you baby!
- I get to rest!!
I love trips like this because they stimulate so many ideas and thoughts and emotions. However, I think the worst thing most people do is try to process and implement it all, ASAP! Give it some time, let it simmer…let God do a work in you. For me, Fridays and Saturdays are my days of rest and with a long work week last week, I am looking forward to some R&R!
- Summer Blockbuster Registration OPENS THIS SUNDAY!!!
Summer Blockbuster is a five night event that we do for our kids every Summer. Its the most fun, exciting, heart pumping week of the entire summer and registration for volunteers and kids opens this Sunday! It’s going to be HUGE! So, sign up early and reserve your spot!
- I get to play some golf!!
As soon as I get back into town my wife is heading out of town (just for a night & a day). So, I have got to have something to make the time fly by. Did I mention I just got a brand new pair of Nike golf shoes and I can’t wait to try them out…so guess who is playing 36 holes of golf this weekend?
- I get to be back at the office!!!
Now, of course I don’t mean on Friday…but I can’t wait to be back to work on Monday (Sunday)! I love the people I work with and the NewSpring team we have is amazing! The people I work with aren’t just my friends…they are my family! Especially us “closet dwellers” downstairs!

Sounds like a great trip! Can’t wait to hear what the Majestic is going to be doing. This weekend hubby is heading out of town with the jr. high youth going to a conference so that leaves me with 2 under 3. Oh yeah. I’m looking for survival!
At our church this weekend we’re ripping down the stage curtains and doing the writing on the walls in our worship service for a message titled “Lost.” Should be awesome and a shocker to many.

It was a great trip…a lot of thinking, but a great trip with a bunch of great guys!
Good luck with your HUGE weekend at your church! I pray that it goes off without a hitch and that God is glorified and honored by how you guys praise His name!

We did the writing on the walls thing that NewSpring did this weekend. We’re in a vision casting season trying to refocus the church and are doing a series called “LOST”. I think it made a BIG impact on some people. At least my prayer is taht it did! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers though. Can’t wait to hear the news about the CM there and where you guys are heading!
