Has anyone ever had the feeling that every time you turn around something is going on? And eventually you stop turning around and your head keeps going? Then you look in the mirror and as you see yourself in short glimpses (because your head is spinning you see) you think to yourself…am I in that exorcist movie? Who really is Emily Rose and what in the world is going on with my head?

I am being “just a bit” melodramatic there, but I think we all get like that sometimes don’t we? I believe it’s part of life! For me, I have learned there is a thin line between God streching me (and growing me) and me stretching myself (and me trying to grow myself). I may have good intentions but God..well He is God and much wiser than I am and knows what He is doing. Plus, I can stop stretching myself for a little while to breathe and refocus. I can’t (nor would I want to) stop God from stretching me.

What am I driving at? I think you know. A week or so ago I put up a post called “Why I blog?” and expressed my heart behind blogging. My heart is still what I wrote in that post. However, sometimes you realize…”I need a break!” So, in a nutshell…I am going to take a little while off blogging.

Now, for me, I make this decision and have total peace about it but I have to admit that it doesn’t make much sense. It seems like God is just now starting to bring a lot of CM people to the blog and we are learning so much together…so why take a break? Because you feel God leading you to…for me, that’s enough! I believe that what God calls us to, even in the short term, doesn’t always make sense, but it does bring peace.

On a lighter note, I will be back! I will put up a post in a week or so about WHEN and hopefully be bringing you guys some NEW news! My heart is to make “Just Pudge” more than just Pudge! We will have to see where God leads but lets just say that WHEN we start things back up…it’s going to be a lot of FUN and very different! :)

I will say this, please feel free to drop any thoughts, questions or comments you may have as a comment and I will be sure to get back to you ASAP! Thanks so much for your understanding and I will see you all again very soon! :)

Your blogs on volunteerism got my attention. I now consider your blog a must read. I love what you’ve been saying about volunteers and elsewhere. I am an active volunteer at Newspring and just wanted to let you know I you are doing a wonderful job. Don’t be gone too long.

Knowing when to say no or take a break is a great quality! Good for you Pudge! We’ll look forward to you jumping back in when you do.

Pudge, I think there was a guy in this really cool book, I think it is the Bible. But this guy would leave the ministry field from time to time and go to the hills to pray with His father and listen for direction from God. So, I think it is awesome that you are resting, reading and praying about what God wants you to do! Cause if Jesus did it, then to be Christ like, we need to do it too!!! But I do agree with Charles… don’t be gone to long, you do make a difference!

Just keep in mind Perry’s second message at Unleashed… know what God has called you to do and stay focussed on that. So follow Jesus and the rest of us will have to just deal!

Meanwhile, check out the new pole I put up on the sidebar. Have fun and I will see you all again soon (keep your eyes peeled for ‘how soon!’)! :)

    thanks again!

I’m another volunteer, though not with the CM…but, I have 2 kids in the Majestic, and I appreciate all that everyone does to make my kids feel important, loved, and to reiterate what I try to teach them every day at home. I’m a firm believer that some of the best growth comes from “vacation”. :) It gives you a chance to breathe and gives your heart a little room to expand and allow God to work. I, too, really enjoy the posts that you encourage and cast vision about and to the volunteers. I’ll be anxiously awaiting your return from your break and look forward to see what God has in store for you as you recharge!!
