I’m convinced that there are two types of people in the world…

  • One, when things get hard…they quit.
  • Two, when things get hard…they push harder.

Its unfortunate, but many times…if not all the time, things WILL get harder.  Even more so, if we are being obedient to Christ…things will definitely get harder.

Why?

The enemy doesn’t like our obedience to Christ.  He detests it…and he will come at us with everything he has permission to, when we are obedient to Christ.  It’s what he does.

So, I find it interesting that many times when things get hard, our (myself included) first inclination (and temptation) is to reason with ourselves why giving up is a viable option.  When in reality…it’s disobedience.

Obedience isn’t easy.  It’s hard.

If it was easy, everyone would do it.

But when things get hard…we can’t quit.  We have to keep pushing forward and begging God for favor and strength.  He is glorified when we do so! :-D

So, here’s to THRIVING, not surviving, when things get hard…

Very very true my friend. Although things may seem hard, we have God. For whom is within us is mightier than the one in this world.
