Ok, so I have obviously been ‘away’ for a little while so I wanted to drop you guys out there a couple of lines just to let you know I am still around! I love blogging! However, just like everything else in life (except Jesus) moderation is the key!
I will officially be back next Monday (January 7th) but to pass the time till then I thought I would toss a little ‘top 5’ action your way and see if we could get some responses from you guys…
Top 5 Things on my Mind… (in no particular order)
1) I can’t wait until tomorrow night (New Year’s Eve). My wife & I will be hanging with friends to bring in the New Year and watching Clemson win (hopefully) in the ‘Chick-fil-a Bowl’…what about you?
2) I have loved getting to spend some extra time with my wife this holiday season as we have traveled to see family & had time off from work! My wife is AWESOME & I love her SO MUCH!! How have your holidays & time with your family been…?
3) Delegation has always been hard for me, and I could never figure out why. It’s not that I won’t delegate…it’s that I want someone to fight me for it so I know that when they take it their passion & heart is in it for the glory of God just as mine is! That’s why I believe…
- Successful delegation isn’t the act of relinquishing tasks to people whom we believe have the spiritual gift to do them…
- Successful delegation is the act of praying for, training & prompting our people to the point that they wrestle & fight us for the ‘responsibilities’ they know God has commanded them to based on the spiritual gifts they’ve been given.
- Did that make sense…? I want to be punched in the mouth & hear…’God has commanded me to do this & I am asking that you delegate it to me, (please sir)!’
4) I am stoked about what’s ahead in ministry this year in the ‘Majestic CM’ at NewSpring Church! I believe we are facing some of the BIGGEST challenges ever (that’s a good thing) and I can’t wait to see what God does through it! What big things has God thrown your way lately?
5) ‘Unleash’ will be here before we know it! I love being able to hang out with other CM peeps! I love hearing about what God is doing in other churches & getting to share what God is doing at NewSpring. We are still learning so much here, but I love getting to share! Saying that, what questions, thoughts, ideas, ‘ponderings’ do you have that we could try to answer at Unleash about how we do things at the Majestic?

Make sure you go to the parade at the Peachbowl and get a cow (they throw them into the crowd). Also, the before party was a blast if you can get tickets to it. We ended up sitting right where the football team came bellowing out (think huge pep rally). The environment was off the hook. Now this was six years ago, but it was a great time.

We got the team together for a BBQ and pool party. 42 celsius a scorcher as we call it down here. It was awesome to just hang together play the 360 and do life. Have a great 08 my friend
