I don’t know why exactly, but good leadership is something that is a HUGE passion of mine.  It BURNS in me to see it done well and in a way that brings out the best in people (Christ’s best) for the growth of His Kingdom & to His glory.

At the same time, leadership is something I know very little about.  I feel like I’m just beginning to learn so much, and learning to put that into practice is even harder.

As I grow I’m learning that leadership (especially in the church) seems to be more about diligent obedience to Jesus than my comfortable satisfaction…more about learning to be a shepherd than a dictator.  I’m learning so much from the direction and application of these verses…

  • Proverbs 27:20-23
  • Romans 12:8
  • 1 Peter 5:1-4

To clarify, I’m still no where near “knowing” what I’m doing or how to lead.  I am ABSOLUTELY clueless most days and without the direction of the Holy Spirit I’d probably just run circles around my desk.

But I still love to share what I’m learning through my inadequacies & imperfection.  It doesn’t mean I’m there and telling anyone what they should do, it simply means…”here’s what I’m learning & being streched on”

But more on “the how” of that, on Thursday…
