Last week I encouraged people to email me ( pudge.huckaby at gmail.com) any CM questions they might have and I would do my best to give a response. So I thought we would take a look at some of those questions today! :)

DISCLAIMER: I, am an idiot! I’m still learning, growing and going only by God’s grace. Any attempts to answer these questions (or future ones) is not me thinking I know it all, but simply sharing what God has taught me so far!

What is the most important aspect of Children’s Ministry?

Reaching the children & them knowing Jesus. However, you can not successfully do that without amazing volunteers. So, I would say the volunteers.

Do you have the kids sit on the floor or in chairs?

They sit in the floor and seems to work well (leaves room open). The things to watch are the older kid’s reaction and the volunteers (harder for adults).

When do you give your Small Group Leaders materials?

Generally lessons are provided ahead of time. However, the materials are collected and organized for them and ready on that Sunday.

What is more vital to Sundays, small groups or large group?

Both. They compliment each other. However, what makes a kid STICK are the relationships they have in their small groups with their friends and their leaders. Take note of how much time you spend on each because what GOT them there, will not KEEP them there! :)

When does your worship & drama team practice for the Sunday production?

Before each series we have a ‘training’ to go over main things. Then, each Sunday they do a ‘run through’ before each service with full media.

What music do you use with Sunday morning worship?

We use music from all around. To list a few great ones: HillSong Kids, Promiseland, and the ReThink Group.

Well, I think that’s it for now. If you have any questions you would like to see up on the blog, just email me at  pudge.huckaby at gmail.com! :)

Also, the only way these (or any questions) can truely get answered is when you give your feedback. So, drop us a comment and tell us what you think! :)
