Saturday

For all of those who were curious (and saw the last post on Friday)…I did finish the Hartwell Dam 5K run. My total time was 24:48, which is just under an 8 minute mile (my goal). The race was something our HG decided to do together and it is always fun to hang out with them all. However, overall, I think the group decided they weren’t supposed to be runners, but you never know, it may become an annual thing! :)

Sunday

Our Greenville and Florence campus teams got to visit Brown’s Bridge Community Church. It was awesome and they’ve got a lot of cool things going on there! A lot of ideas to come back with, process, and pray through! I can’t wait for the launching of our multiple NewSpring campuses! It’s going to be so flippin’ AWESOME! :)

Monday

Today is the first ‘official’ day of my new job/role as the Greenville Children’s Ministry Director! I can’t wait to dig in and get things moving! There is A LOT to do, but that’s ok…with a fresh start comes new energy! :) By the way, if you are a going to be a Greenville volunteer or interested in the NewSpring Greenville campus, I’d love to meet you! Drop me an email or a comment! :)

General

I am very eager to switch all my contacts, calendar, email, etc. over to Google! Why? Well, I’m not sure, but I just ‘feel like that’s what God is telling me to do.’ Anyone had any success with this, suggestions, rude remarks, comments, etc. concerning this? :)

Oh, and by the way, Twitter ROCKS! If you don’t Twitter, I think you should! :)

Well, that’s it for now…how was your weekend?! :)

I started using Google for just about everything last year, and I love it. Between a big move and being on a PC at home and a Mac at work, I wanted something easier than having to synch everything up all the time. I’ll never turn back from gmail or gcal, and even docs is getting most of my work related stuff now, too. The only headache I had was moving contacts from Apple mail to contacts in Gmail, but I got that worked out, and now life is good.

I like it even better using Remember the Milk and Jott with Gmail and GCal. I think you’re making a great move!

Congrats on your new Greenville Happenings!

I tried to make the switch to ALL Google last month, and it was so buggy that I pulled out and went back to the saftey net of MS Outlook. It’s huge and terrible, but it’s tried and true.

    Pudge,

Hey we are coming off a 5 week break in our children’s ministry as we were totally redoing our whole kids wing. This week will be our first week back we are very excited. I noticed you wrote that you don’t use chairs. I have been toying with this idea. I haven’t heard of anyone doing this, how has it worked for you very curious.
