So, I’m reading this book, ‘Simple Church’ and it is ROCKIN’ my world! Great stuff!! You should pick up a copy here…you won’t be able to put it down! Anyway, last night I was reading and I came across this awesome quote by Andy Stanley…
“Complexity dilutes your potential for impact.”
Simple yet…DEEP!!
The book also says that he thinks ministry naturally drifts toward complexity, that complexity just happens. Personally, I love what Andy is saying here!
I find myself in constant motion to simplify all aspects of my life. The drive behind why I do that…so that I can do each part better than ever! But what about you? Do you agree with this quote? Do you try to ’simplify’ different aspects of your life to avoid complexity? What about at work? What about in CM?

I too am reading this book and LOVING IT! I unfortunately am in a church that is anything but simple, but the book inspired me to look at what I can do in my own little area to create a clear discipleship process for kids. Until now I’ve been so frustrated by the lack of connection between weekend and midweek programming for our kids. Now I have a vision for how we can use those time slots as stepping stones of discipleship. I don’t usually talk this way, but yes that book has “rocked my world” too! Do you guys do any midweek programming for kids at New Spring?
