Just wanted to remind everyone that tomorrow at 11:00 AM (EST) we will be doing our second “CM Roundtable” Session. I’ve tried to line up some special guests for us and we will see how that’s going to work out by tomorrow! 
I bet you are probably wondering…what do you do at a online CM Roundtable?
Well, the same thing you would do if we were all sitting at a roundtable in real life. Talk. Grow. Enjoy.
So….what are we talking about?
Well, we were going to try to have Dave Wakerly and Rob Bradbury join us as special guests to talk about culture. What is the culture like for kids today and how does it effect what we do? How is the culture different in the land down under than it may be in the states? Is it all primarily the same?
Yeah…good stuff! However, it looks like we may hold off on that topic just for now (try to do in during our August session maybe?)! This Thursday just wasn’t really going to be a good time for both of these guys and I really want to get them on here together…they are smart!!
So, what are we talking about this Thursday…? VOLUNTEERS!! As in…
- What do our different volunteer structures look like?
- What do we do to show our volunteers we really care?
- Do we delegate tasks or empower them to own the ministry?
- How do we recruit?
- What’s been successful and what hasn’t?
- Do we have volunteer leader? What are their responsibilities?
- Are we robbing volunteers of their joy in serving because we can’t let go of things? What are they?
Again, there’s no agenda here and I definately do not have some ‘right and holy way’ that I am trying to influence upon others. This is simply a time for us to talk with each other and learn from each other! Grow together and build up our CM network.
