Ministry isn’t easy. It’s messy and at times it can be exhausting but in our humble opinions, it’s THE most fulfilling work you can be a part of! The question is… even though ministry is complex, does it have to be complicated?

So we (i.e. Pudge and Davey) have collaborated on these posts. The heart of these posts is to show how simple ministry really can and SHOULD be… well, as long as we use grammar, that is! : )

What do we mean? Here is the simple “grammatical” formula…

Passion 4[2 nouns + 1 verb] = simple {successful} ministry

Again, please hear us, we aren’t claiming to be smart (we really aren’t at all) or that this is some new genius concept. Matter of fact this is something most of us probably already know.

The passion behind this formula is that it helps us keep a healthy perspective within ministry. It reminds us (especially when we tend to get pigeon-holed and complicate things) what ministry is really all about.

You two guys have an obvious passion for our young people, and I thank God many times a day for leading us to NewSpring! My son now has a mohawk because he thinks it’s cool, and he noticed that the people at his church were not judging people by their outward appearances. He is telling everyone that his church is cool, and the kids he encounters are absolutely jazzed! God is going to do a mighty work in the youth of Greenville, and I am humbled to be a part of it! Thanks guys for allowing Jesus to shine through you!
