Over the next few posts we are going to spend some time breaking down the heart of this “grammatic” formula we mentioned yesterday. In order to do so, we will spend a little time talk about each part. First up, let’s break down the PASSION part…
Here are some things Davey and I are both learning about PASSION in our own lives. (Sometimes I attribute my obsessive behavior to passion, but then sometimes I think I just need mental HELP!)
- It requires effort to turn it off, and rarely effort to turn it on
- It snowballs the more we dwell on the object of our passion
- It often manifests itself in emotion; however, it is so much deeper than merely feelings
- It requires that we do things we don’t like (or not doing things we do like) in order to reach the goal
- It is narrowly focused and even borderline pigeon-holed at times
- It involves something you’d simultaneously be willing to die for and are yet determined to live for
In the end, PASSION can’t be faked. Its real, personal, rooted and powerful! Its source isn’t from within ourselves, but above us (planted within ourselves)! Without PASSION, the rest of this formula simply won’t work!
