Ok…so I LOVE my iPhone!! LOVE IT!!!
You hear people talk it up and you might wonder…”is it really that great?” Um, yeah it is. Just ask anyone who has one…speaking of, who is an iPHONE user again?
Ok, back to my point! I love my iPhone and I am wanting to begin to make even better use of it!! So, here is what I’m looking…
Podcasts…
- Children’s ministry
- Spiritual growth (great messages/devotionals)
- Leadership
- Management and Marketing
- Great audio books
- Or anything you might think “ROCKs face”
Apps…
- Fun games
- Anything to do with running
- Finances
- Social Networking
- Or anything free/cheap that “ROCKs face”
Ok, that’s it for now…can’t wait to hear from you guys!!

Pudge…are you looking to interview people for podcasts or looking for specific topics for you to speak about or both? And when you say “anything to do with running” do you mean like hitting the roads and covering miles kind of running?

A couple of podcasts I like:
-Andy Stanley leadership podcast
-Northpoint Ministries podcast
-Buckhead church podcast (can you sense a pattern here)
-Practically Speaking podcast
-Apple Quick Tips
-Coffeebreak Spanish Podcast
-Mars Hill Bible Church
-Internet Monk Radio Podcast
-Catalyst Podcast
-Fermi Podcast
Audiobooks - my most recent was “Tribes” by Seth Godin
Also - the bomb, as far as I’m concerned, are podcasts from iTunesU universities.

Liz,
I was moreso talking about podcast that are out there! I think doing a podcast would be fun but I don’t know that I have the time or anything worth saying!!
Also, I think those require people interested in listening…not sure there would be that many (not even sure I would be interested in hearing me).
As far as running…yes, I’m talking like running on the road…many miles, workout type stuff!!
Thanks Liz, hope all is great your way!

I gotcha now! You want to listen, not broadcast yourself. Sorry…I was confused. I look to you as one of the CM experts so I just assumed you were revving up to issue your own. Here’s my favorite ever podcast of some high school kids in my church talking about why they love LOGOS so much. They were interviewed by our Exec Dir Tom Beagan. I hope this link works. http://www.podbean.com/podcast-players?cid=6832 It’s called “Why Youth Go to Church.”
And I now have the itch for an iphone…maybe in the spring when my phone is due for the upgrade. yes…all is well. Thanks for asking.

[...] I just read a post that a friend of mine who wrote on his blog site over at Just Pudge posted where he was talking about how he is enjoying his iPhone . It got me to thinking how much I truly enjoy mine as well. I know this does not surprise anyone who knows me because I am truly a Mac enthusiasts. but it is hard to not be when you find something that works so well. [...]

I started a podcast on parenting about 6 months ago. (trying to get parents thinking more about what they do with their kids) It is called Family Fusion. Check it out and see what you think.

Steve Furtick from Elevate. Francis Chan from Cornerstone Church. Rob Bell from Mars Hill. Simply Youth Ministry (I know not CM but still good stuff and funny). Brian Houston from Hillsong. Catalyst Podcast. Obvisouly these are popular choices but I hope it helps. These are podcast I listen to regularly and really strenghten my faith. Keep doing your thing, thanx for all you do for His Kingdom. Dustin

Pudge,
Props to the blog. Been following it for awhile now. I too have and iPhone for about a year now. It was a gift from the last church I left.
I have probably over 20 apps on my iPhone. I saw that no one is getting into the gaming end, just podcast. So here are the FREE FUN ONES… Tap Tap Revenge, TapDefense, Lightsaber (Star Wars fun), My son (6 yo) loves SpaceDeadbeef (galaxy like arcade fun), CubeRunner, Google app, YouVersion, Pacman Lite. Evernote is a good note and photonote taker, Say Who, Voice dial., Facebook, , TouchDialThe list goes on. Yes, it can be addicting! My wife sometimes wants to through it far far away. I am a children’s and family pastor, well trying to get the family role more apart of my job description this year.
Look forward to what you will say this year.
