I’ve been reading “Humility” each morning with my quiet time and been loving how it’s stretched me!! As I was reading it the other day I read a quote from “Spiritual Depression” (by Martyn Lloyd-Jones) and couldn’t get over how profound it was…
“Have you realized that most of your unhappiness in life is due to the fact that you are listening to yourself instead of talking to yourself?”
I would definately recommend “Humility” to anyone who’s interested! Any thoughts on the quote…?

Finally someone has confimed what I have been talking about all along. It is absolutly fine to talk to yourself. It’s not weird and it does not make you crazy. It’s actually healthy.
I like the quote and will actually give that a try out the next time I start listening to my unhappy thoughts.

That quote hit home for me, too. When I think about the times I’ve been in a spiritual dumpster, it’s been because I haven’t been spending time with God, and because I haven’t been reminding myself of who I really am in Him and what He’s doing in my life. Eyes were opened on this one!
